You should be proficient with loading, unloading, and clearing your firearm. 

Action-pistol shooting incorporates dynamic movement while engaging static and moving targets at varying distances. As a general guideline, you should have shot at least 1000 rounds of ammunition through your firearm.

Most of our local clubs in the NorCal Section have prerequisites to participate in their match.  You should:


Action shooting has specific safety practices. Those with law enforcement, military, or other firearms background are required to meet one of the above criteria.

Complete the safety orientation

Contact any of these clubs to schedule the safety orientation. The prices of the course will vary with each club/instructor.

MAGAZINE RESTRICTIONS

Magazines must comply with your match shooting division. It is the responsibility of the individual participant to ensure they comply with all applicable laws.
